Beijing to Host Winter Olympic Games in 2022
Beijing was chosen as the host of the 2022 Winter Olympics at the 128th International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
The Chinese capital beat the only other candidate - Almaty, with Beijing garnering 44 votes, while the largest city in Kazakhstan received 40 votes.
