Female-priority metro carriages draw criticism in Turkey's Bursa
A new project that introduced female-priority carriages on intra-city trains in the northwestern Turkish province of Bursa has drawn criticism from some locals.
"You cannot end sexual harassment by putting women in separate carriages. Women and men come together in other environments too. You cannot avert it this way," passenger Irmak Aslan said.
Turkey seeks to replenish severely depleted military
The groups most affected by mass purges after the July 15 coup attempt in Turkey were the military cadets at high school and university levels. The government dismissed about 7,000 officer candidates attending four-year military high schools and four-year academies and transferred them to civilian schools.
The paradox of the referendum

Voting Abroad for Bulgaria's Snap Elections Progresses Normally
Bulgarians abroad continue to vote in 371 voting sections in 70 countries.
Voting activity in Turkey is similar to that during the presidential elections in November 2016. 7,000 have voted in the regions of Bursa, Yalova, Kodzhaeli and Istanbul. This is the latest data on voting activity by 13:00 hrs, announced the Bulgarian General Consulate.
At least 4,000 foreign criminals in jail in Turkey: Report
At least 4,000 foreign criminals are currently in jail in Turkey, according to official data, daily Milliyet has reported.
The foreign criminals are convicted of crimes including prostitution, robbery, hijacking, printing and transferring counterfeit money, drug and human trafficking.
Seven workers killed, 34 injured in bus accident in Turkey's Bursa
At least seven people were killed and 34 others were injured on March 7 when a bus carrying members of a labor union from the northwestern province of Bursa to Ankara suffered an accident in Bursa's İnegöl district, Doğan News Agency has reported.

Turkey's top 18 districts in terms of human development are from the country's biggest cities of Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa and Antalya, while the 11 districts that scored lowest were in the east and southeast, an Istanbul-based foundation has revealed.
