How Croatia’s Jasenovac Camp Turned Men into Brutal Killers
Seventy-eight years ago, on April 22, 1945, brothers Mate and Stjepan Zukolo were among around 600 prisoners who took part in a major breakout from the main part of the Jasenovac concentration camp and death camp complex.
As the prisoners stormed the gate, attacking the guards with bricks and planks, the Zukolo brothers were immediately separated in the commotion.

250-kilo NATO leftover bomb found in western Serbia
An aerial bomb of "huge destructive power" has been found in Sevarice, near the town of Pozega, in western Serbia.
The Belgrade-based newspaper Blic is reporting this on Thursday, noting that an ammunition plant is currently being built at the location.
Vucic: Stability is key word for Serbia
POZEGA - Stability is the key word for Serbia, Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday.
"That is why I will fight against any attempt at destabilization," the prime minister told reporters after laying a cornerstone for an ammunition plant in Uzici near Pozega.

Nikolic unveils monument to Prince Milos Obrenovic
POZEGA - President Tomislav Nikolic unveiled in Pozega on Thursday a monument to Prince Milos Obrenovic, leader of the Second Serbian Uprising against the Ottoman rule.
The monument was unveiled to mark the two hundred years since the uprising, which broke out on April 23, 1815 in Takovo.

World Poetry Day(s) in Belgrade
BELGRADE - This year's World Poetry Day(s) will be held in Belgrade and Pozega from March 20 to 23, bringing together numerous authors from Serbia and abroad.
In 1999, UNESCO proclaimed March 21 as World Poetry Day which has been celebrated in Serbia since 2001.
This 15th event in a row has several program units that cover both contemporary and classical poetry.

Bosnian Islamist Arrested in Croatia Handed to Austria
The 49-year-old Bosnian citizen, sought by Austrian authorities, is believed to be part of an Austrian-based network that has been recruiting people from the Balkans and organizing their transfer to battlefields in Iraq and Syria.
Basketball coach Aleksandar Petrovic dies
BELGRADE - Famous basketball coach Aleksandar Petrovic died on Monday at the age of 56 after a long disease.
Petrovic was born in Pozega on October 14, 1959 and during his career, he coached Belgrade-based Radnicki, Hemofarm, FMP, Lokomotiv - Rostov, UNICS, Zalgiris and Azovmash.

Pozega to host Interakcija and Interdoc 2014
POZEGA – Taking place for the ninth time, the International Student Film Camp Interakcija and the International Documentary Film Master Class Interdoc will kick off in Pozega, a town 180 km southwest of Belgrade, this week, with the participation of 38 young cineastes from 21 countries.

Chinese investors interested in fruit farming
POZEGA - Chinese investors are interested in Serbia's fruit farming, Dragan Glamocic, Serbia's outgoing minister of agriculture, stated in Budimka factory in Pozega, which he visited on Wednesday together with investors from China.
“Potential investors from China are interested in Serbia's fruit farming sector,” Glamocic said.
