BELGRADE - An exhibition titled Painter Vlaho Bukovac (1855-1922), the first to include all of the artist's 23 works kept at the National Museum in Belgrade, will open at the museum on Wednesday.

BELGRADE - President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman has opened an exhibition titled "The History of Czech-Serbian military cooperation" at the Gallery of the Military Museum in Belgrade.

BELGRADE - The presidents of Serbia and the Czech Republic, Tomislav Nikolic and Milos Zeman respectively, agreed on Tuesday that relations between the two countries are marked by a long-standing friendship, and Nikolic noted that it is particularly important to Serbia that Prague supports the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and opposes further conditioning of Serbia along the EU path.

Vietnam Airlines is reportedly interested in opening a direct line from Hanoi to Sofia.

PRAGUE -- Czech Foreign Minister Lubomir Zaoralek has strongly condemned the referendum on independence of Crimea, held on Sunday.

He believes it is "a hellish concept that can have dire consequences."

PRAGUE - Serbia's Emir Bekric achieved a personal indoor best at the 2014 European Athletics Indoor Permit Meeting, finishing a 400m Men's race in 47.17 seconds.

Although he finished second in his race, Bekric is very pleased about his achievement, as he succeeded in realizing his plan to finish in under 47.70 and pave his way to a good result in 400m hurdles.

SMEDEREVO - Zelezara Smederevo received top recognition for excellence in the implementation of SAP (Systems, Applications and Products) software solution in the SAP competition at the level of Central and Eastern Europe.

Gold was presented to the Smederevo-based steel mill for the most successful project in the category of medium implementation, the company stated in a release.
