Turkey to launch 5A satellite next week
Turkey plans to launch a communication satellite on the night between Monday and Tuesday next week, the country's transport and infrastructure minister announced on Dec. 30.
Following the Turksat 5A satellite, the country will also launch another communication satellite, the Turksat 5B, in June, Adil Karaismailoğlu announced in Turkey's Black Sea province Ordu.

Bulgaria Resumes Flights From UK and Northern Ireland
At 12 pm today Bulgaria resumed flights from the UK and Northern Ireland, which were cancelled due to the new strain of Covid-19. Passengers arriving from the UK will have to make antigen tests and will be put under a 10-day quarantine. From January 1, a negative PCR test will be required performed 72 hours before the arrival in Bulgaria.
Turkish Airlines may delay delivery of Airbus, Boeing planes
Turkish Airlines, which halted its passenger flights as a result of the coronavirus crisis, may delay the delivery of some Boeing and Airbus planes, its chairman said on May 27.
Turkey's flag carrier company had received half of its orders for 25 Boeing 787-9 planes, but the delivery of the rest could be delayed, İlker Aycı told daily Hürriyet.

A Turkish military airbase in the Central Anatolian province of Kayseri has launched the second maintenance center for Airbus A400M tactical transport planes, according to an official.

European shares sink again as coronavirus deaths mount
European shares were stuck near seven-year lows on Monday after several countries expanded measures to curtail the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, with Italy banning even domestic travel as the number of fatalities there topped 5,400.
The benchmark STOXX 600 index was down 4.6 percent at 0806 GMT, with bourses in Germany, Spain and London leading declines.

Airbus will Lay Off more than 2,000 Employees
Airbus will cut 2362 jobs in its defense and space division by the end of 2021 due to stagnation of the space market and delay of several defense contracts. This was announced by the European aircraft maker today.
