Mexico rescues 458 children from squalid refuge amid abuse fears

Mexico said on Tuesday it had rescued 458 children from a vermin-infested refuge for abandoned boys and girls, some of whom it believes to have been sexually abused.
   
The attorney general's office said authorities raided a home known as "La Gran Familia" (The Big Family) in the western city of Zamora, following at least 50 complaints about its operators.

The statement came following a case where an individual was fined for offending the police on Facebook.

Facebook thanks Greek Police for helping take down Lecpetex botnet

Facebook has thanked Greek Police for its help in taking down a little-known spamming botnet called Lecpetext.

“We would like to thank the Head of the Greek Cyber Crime Division and the police officers involved for the professionalism they showed while investigating this malware,” the California-based company said in a statement posted on its website.

Pink Floyd to release first album in 20 years

British prog rock legends Pink Floyd are set to release a new album called "The Endless River" in October, their first for 20 years.
      
The surprise news came in a posting on Twitter by author Polly Samson, who is married to the band's guitarist David Gilmour and has previously written lyrics for the band.
