A journalist from a local daily in southeastern Turkey has received a suspended prison sentence for "liking" a remark criticising President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an on Facebook, which the court deemed as an "insult."

Romanian tennis sensation Simona Halep, world No. 3, wrote on her official Facebook page that although she lost in the Miami Open semifinals, the match against Serena Williams has enriched her, as did the other encounters with the US champion.

The office of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Friday issued a statement noting that the views on sitins expressed in an article by Alternate Citizens' Protection Minister Yiannis Panousis are his own and do not represent those of the government.
