Senior FETÖ member nabbed in Turkish capital
Turkish gendarmerie on Jan. 30 arrested a senior operative of FETÖ, the group behind the 2016 defeated coup in Turkey, in the capital Ankara.
Identified by the initials A.Y., the former teacher was wanted with an arrest warrant for four years over "establishing and membership to an armed terrorist organization", according to statement by security forces.

Turkey to continue protecting rights in E Med: National Security Council
Turkey will continue to decisively protect its rights in the Eastern Mediterranean, Aegean and Cyprus, the country's National Security Council declared on Jan. 28.
Underlining that these rights arise from international law, the council said in a statement that Turkey condemned rising terror attacks in Africa, including Somalia, as well as various other regions.

More than 70 detained over suspected links to FETÖ
Turkey on June 2 detained 72 people, including on-duty soldiers, over suspected links to FETÖ, the group behind the defeated coup in 2016.
Prosecutors in Istanbul issued arrest warrants for 118 people, including 98 on-duty soldiers, as part of an investigation into FETÖ.
Turkish police carried out anti-terror operations in 35 provinces.

Azerbaijani businessman remanded over FETÖ links
A businessman of Azerbaijani origin was remanded into custody by an Istanbul court for having links with the FETÖ, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on March 17.
Mubariz Mansimov Gurbanoğlu and his company's director Nuray Nurcihan Perker were detained by the financial crimes police team as part of an investigation carried out by prosecutors in Istanbul.

Karabakh as much our issue as Azerbaijan's: Turkish president
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Feb. 25 the Upper Karabakh is as much Turkey's issue as it is Azerbaijan's.
"It is our greatest desire to resolve the problem of Upper Karabakh on the basis of Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity," Erdoğan said at a joint news conference with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev.
Detention warrants issued for 37 FETÖ suspects
Turkish prosecutors issued detention warrants for 37 suspects over their alleged links to the FETÖ, the group behind the 2016 defeated coup attempt, state-run Anadolu Agency said on Feb. 25.
Authorities in the central Konya province issued detention warrants for the suspects, some of whom are active-duty soldiers in the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK).

180 FETÖ terror suspects nabbed across Turkey
Turkey on Feb. 18 detained180 suspected members of the FETÖ, the group behind the defeated coup attempt of 2016, state-run Anadolu Agency reported.
Fifty of the detainees are part of a group of 71 FETÖ members who infiltrated the Justice Ministry sought by warrants in a 15-city operation ordered by prosecutors in the capital Ankara, Anadolu Agency cited sources as saying.

Ruling AKP lawmakers press charges against former top commander
Six lawmakers from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) have filed criminal complaints against former Chief of General Staff İlker Başbuğ after he said FETÖ, the group behind the 2016 defeated coup attempt, had played a significant role in the adoption of laws in parliament that resulted in several military personnel to serve jail time over a decade ago.
