‘Swedes barred when Cyprus opens up’
Excluding Sweden from moves to open borders across the Nordic region as it recovers from the coronavirus pandemic would be a political decision and not justifiable on health grounds, Foreign Minister Ann Linde said on Tuesday.
Media in Sweden have raised concerns that Swedes could be excluded as curbs on travel are relaxed, both in the Nordic region and elsewhere in Europe.

Greek credit expands 0.7 pct y/y in March
Total credit in Greece's banking system expanded 0.7 percent year-on-year in March after a 1.0 percent decline in the previous month, Bank of Greece data showed on Friday.

Current account deficit shrinks in March, y-o-y
Greece's current account balance showed a smaller deficit in March compared to the same month last year, on the back of improved trade and primary income account balances that offset a smaller services surplus, the Bank of Greece said on Thursday.
Central bank data showed the deficit at 1.106 billion euros from a deficit of €1.538 billion in March 2019.

Eurozone govts agree on cheap loans for countries hit by pandemic, sources say
Eurozone finance ministers agreed on Friday to offer cheap credit lines that can be tapped until the end of 2022 by countries hit by the coronavirus pandemic, two European officials said.
"All agreed. The program can be used until the end of 2022," one of the officials said.
Greece to reopen ancient monuments this month as it eases lockdown
After standing empty for two months, Greece's ancient sites, including the Acropolis Hill towering over Athens, will reopen to visitors on May 18, authorities said on Thursday.
The ancient monuments were closed along with museums in mid-March in Greece's lockdown to curb the spread of the coronavirus. Restrictions have gradually been eased this week.
