Turkish Airlines to support baby girl born on flight

A baby born on a Turkish Airlines flight earlier this month will receive the support of Turkey's flagship carrier for her future, the company's chairman said April 20.        

İlker Aycı told reporters at Istanbul's Atatürk International Airport the baby girl - who was born midair on a flight from Guinea to Turkey - would receive educational support from the airline.

Baby girl born mid-air on Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul

A woman successfully gave birth to a healthy baby girl during a Turkish Airlines (THY) flight to Istanbul late on April 7.   

Diaby Nafi, the passenger who gave birth on board, had not appeared to be nine months pregnant and had not told the airline or crew of her condition, according to cabin crew.

Jammeh refused to step down after a Dec. 1, 2016 election in which Barrow was declared the winner, triggering weeks of uncertainty that almost ended in a military intervention involving five other west African nations.
