May 9 - Europe Day and Day of Victory over Fascism
BELGRADE - May 9, marked as the day of victory over fascism and Nazism in World War II, is also celebrated as Europe Day to commemorate the day when the then French foreign minister Robert Schuman laid the foundations of a united Europe in 1950.

Dutch Police Arrest Two Bosnian War Crimes Suspects
Two unnamed former Bosnian fighters suspected of committing war crimes during the early 1990s conflict, including the torture and murder of civilians, were arrested in the Netherlands.
62% of EU Voters Don't Care About European Elections
Sxity-two percent of the EU voters are “not at all” or “not much” interested in the European Parliament elections in May, shows a survey of Ipsos-MORI.
It was conducted in April. A total of 8 833 people were polled in Belgium, Britain, Croatia, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Sweden.
Month-Long Celebration of Belgrade's Architecture
Besides numerous exhibitions, the festival running from May 8 to 31 under the overarching theme of "Public Space", includes 16 workshops as well as 10 tours.
Alongside domestic experts in the field, the international guests at the festival are Hans Nevidal from Austria, Geir Brendeland from Norway and Zef Hemel from The Netherlands.

Famous football player Vujadin Boskov dies
NOVI SAD - Former football player Vujadin Boskov, who left a great mark in Serbian and Yugoslav football, died in Novi Sad on Sunday aged 83 after a long and serious illness, his family has stated.
Boskov played 57 matches for the Yugoslav national team and was regarded highly as a coach by many Serbian and foreign clubs. He also coached the national team.

Zimonjic, Nestor suffer defeat in Barcelona final
BARCELONA - Serbian tennis player Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor of Canada have not managed to claim the doubles title at the Barcelona Open.
The Serbian-Canadian double lost to Stephane Robert (France) - Jesse Huta Galung (the Netherlands) 6-3, 6-3 on Sunday.

BARCELONA - Serbian tennis player Nenad Zimonjic and Canada's Daniel Nestor qualified for the Barcelona WTA men's doubles final as they defeated Croatia's Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo of Brazil in the Saturday match, 6-4, 6-4.

Eurojust Busts Fraud Ring With BG Participation
The EU judicial cooperation unit Eurojust bust an organized crime group that committed fraud on a large scale in Belgium and the Netherlands.
It operated in Belgium, the Netherlands, Romania and Bulgaria and drained the social security systems in Belgium and the Netherlands.
