'Saber Guardian 2017' Multinational Exercise Starts in Bulgaria

The biggest multinational exercise in the Black Sea region called ''Saber Guardian 2017'' starts today at the Novo Selo military camp in Southern Bulgaria, reported BGNES.

In the period July 11-20, a total of 18 specialized exercises will take place under the leadership of the US Army Command in Europe on the territory of the three host countries - Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary.

Hungary to be linked with Turkish Stream via Serbia

Budapest and Russia's energy giant Gazprom have signed an agreement on extending the Turkish Stream gas pipeline to go via Bulgaria and Serbia to reach Hungary.

Russian energy major Gazprom has signed an agreement with Hungary to deliver gas via the Turkish Stream pipeline, the MTI news agency reported, citing Hungary's Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.

Trump Urges East Europeans to Use US Gas

US President Donald Trump urged participant states attending the Three Seas Initiative in Warsaw to use US gas - after Hungary and Russian energy giant Gazprom agreed to extend the Turkish Stream to Hungary via Bulgaria and Serbia.

"The United States will never use energy to coerce anyone, and we will not let others do it," he said in apparent reference to Russia.

Eurobank to retain strong international presence

By the end of the year Eurobank will have completed the sale of Postbank, its subsidiary in Romania, that will mark the end of the program for the restructuring of the group's activities abroad.

Eurobank intends to retain a strong presence in Bulgaria, Cyprus, Serbia and Luxembourg, with Cyprus and Bulgaria being at the forefront of its international operations.

The Government's Airbus Flew to Sri Lanka With 32 Migrants on Board

The Bulgarian government's Airbus A319 travelled to Colombo, Sri Lanka carrying 32 migrants who did not have right of residence in any country of the European Union. From the European agency Frontex for border and coast security explained that for the operation which was coordinated by Bulgaria were paid almost 75 thousand euros.  

A Slovenian wine also among the world champions of the 59th Wine Competition

From the 30th of June to the 2nd of July, at the 59th International Wine Competition - Vino Ljubljana, 48 tasters from 15 countries selected five world champions out of 430 samples from 19 countries. This year the number of both, the samples and the tasters exceeded last year's, explained Mr. Matjaž Kovačič, the head of the team Vino Ljubljana.
