Montenegro 'Failing to Protect Its Airspace'

Libya air force says bombed tanker in Islamist-held port
The air force of Libya's internationally recognised government said Monday that it carried out a deadly weekend air strike on an oil tanker in the Islamist-held eastern port of Derna.
The air force opened fire "after the crew refused to heed orders to stop for a search operation" spokesman Colonel Ahmed Mesmari said, describing the tanker as "suspicious".
Italy takes control of drifting migrant ship
Italian sailors on Jan. 2 managed to take control of a crewless merchant ship as it drifted toward the country's southern shores in rough seas with 450 migrants on board, in the second such incident in two days.

Iraqi forces launch offensive on ISIL in Dhuluiyah
Iraqi forces backed by Sunni tribes advanced into the town of Dhuluiyah north of Baghdad on Dec. 28 in a new attempt to push out Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), officials said.
In October, Iraqi forces retook most of Dhuluiyah from ISIL, but the jihadists later launched a counter-offensive and were able to seize ground they had lost.

ISIL downs warplane over Syria, claims capture of Jordanian pilot
The Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (ISIL) on Sept. 24 shot down a warplane from the U.S.-led coalition over northern Syria, a monitoring group said, with the jihadists claiming to have captured a Jordanian pilot.
