A ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) deputy has declared that NATO is a "terror organization," saying the alliance has become a "structure threatening Turkey."

In an interview with pro-government daily Milat, AKP Gaziantep deputy Şamil Tayyar claimed that NATO had "always been involved in activities targeting Turkey" since its establishment.

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump condemned Russia critics on Jan. 7, calling those who oppose better relations with Moscow "stupid" people and "fools" in his latest Twitter tirade.  

Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered a campaign for exercising influence over the elections in the USA. The aim was to undermine the democratic process and denigrate the candidate of the Democratic Party Hillary Clinton.

When WikiLeaks threatened a defamation lawsuit, the news network issued an embarrassing apology indicating that "in fact, CNN has no evidence to support that assertion."
