Magnitude 5.5 earthquake jolts southern Adana province
A 5.5 magnitude earthquake jolted southern Türkiye's Adana province at 8.44 a.m. local time (5.44 a.m. GMT), the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) has confirmed.
The epicenter of the earthquake is located as Kozan district.

Firefighters are intervening by land and air to control a wildfire that broke out overnight in a forest in southern Türkiye.
The cause of the fire in Marmaris district of Muğla province is still unknown. The flames spread in a short time due to winds.
Magnitude-5.2 earthquake hits eastern Turkey
A magnitude-5.2 earthquake jolted eastern Malatya province on April 9, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said.
The agency said that the quake struck off the Pütürge district at 17.02 p.m. local time.
The earthquake was also felt in Elazığ, Adıyaman and Kahramanmaraş.
There were no immediate reports of casualties.

Turkey hit by floods, wildfires most in 2021
Turkey struggled with floods the most last year, followed by wildfires and landslides, a natural disaster risk map released by the country's emergency management authority has shown.
In 2021, 107 floods, 66 forest fires, 16 snowstorms and 39 landslides occurred in Turkey, according to the latest report of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).

Bodies of more migrants who froze to death on Greek border recovered
Turkish security forces have recovered the bodies of seven more irregular migrants, who froze to death after Greek border guards pushed them back, bringing the number of the fatalities to 19.
Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu said the bodies of 12 irregular migrants were found near the İpsala border crossing between Turkey and Greece without shoes and stripped of their clothes.
