Georgiou case: Gov’t withdraws ECHR appeal
The government has withdrawn an application to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) requesting a review of the decision vindicating former president of the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) Andreas Georgiou that his right to a fair trial had been violated in Greece.

Mali: IMF Executive Board has approved first review under arrangement with Serbia
BELGRADE - The IMF Executive Board has decided that a first review under a stand-by arrangement with Serbia was successful, and Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said on Thursday the decision was another confirmation of the appropriateness of Serbia's economic policy and structural and institutional reforms.

World Bank provides financing for quake-hit enterprises
A new World Bank project will help avert the closure and maintain employment in viable micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) affected by the economic shocks of the earthquakes that hit southeastern Türkiye.
The $450 million project's objective is to support business continuity and sustainable growth of viable MSMEs in the 11 earthquake-hit provinces.
PM visits Finance Ministry
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis chose to visit the Finance Ministry on Wednesday for his first official visit since his re-election. He was met at the ministry by new Finance Minister Kostis Hatzidakis. The prime minister was accompanied by Minister of State Akis Skertsos and his economic advisor Alex Patelis.

Later in the day, at 5 p.m., Mitsotakis will visit the Finance Ministry.

Lowest-paid civil servant to receive 22,000 Turkish Liras
The lowest salary of Türkiye's civil servants will be increased to 22,000 Turkish Liras, Labor and Social Security Minister Vedat Işıkhan has said.
The government is currently working on civil servants' pay and improvements in pensions, Işıkhan told reporters.
