Fofi Gennimata, the leader of center-left Movement for Change (KINAL), said a vote in her party would promote political stability, as she cast her ballot at the Athenian district of Aghios Dimitrios on Sunday.

As Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis make their last campaign push ahead of Sunday's snap election, a new opinion poll by Pulse for Skai shows ND holding a firm 8-percentage point lead over leftist SYRIZA. 

Public Issue's "political barometer," released on Thursday, predicts New Democracy winning by with a resounding 42.5 percent of the vote in Sunday's snap election, against incumbent SYRIZA's 27 percent.

Opposition New Democracy is seen winning Sunday's election by at least 8 percentage points over ruling SYRIZA and clinching a clear majority with between 155 and 159 seats in Greece's 300-seat house, according to a public opinion poll by Pulse for Skai TV, released on Thursday.

Keeping a balance in Greece's political center can be tricky. On one hand, there are voters who dread the prospect of an unstable government. For them, the center-left Movement for Change (KINAL) alliance needs to provide assurances that it will help form a government if necessary after Sunday's general election.

Two new polls on Wednesday showed the main opposition maintaining a significant lead which hovered or exceeded nine percent over ruling SYRIZA.
In a survey by pollster Alco, conducted on behalf of Open TV, New Democracy got 34 percent of valid votes against SYRIZA's 24.3 percent.

Greece's conservative opposition saw the substantial lead it holds over the incumbent leftists expand to 13 percentage points four days ahead of Sunday's ballot, a poll showed Wednesday.
New Democracy got 39.5 percent of valid votes while SYRIZA garnered 26.5 percent in a Prorata survey that was commissioned by the Greek website Newspost.gr.

Gennimata: Tsipras 'bankrupted' the name of the Left

Centre-left Movement for Change (Pasok-based) leader Fofi Gennimata has lashed out at PM Alexis Tsipras describing him as a disgrace to the Greek Left following his two-hour nationally televised interview on SKAI television yesterday evening.

New Democracy leads ruling SYRIZA by 9.2 percentage points in a new poll conducted by the Rass polling company for in.gr between 24 and 27 June which suggests ND is on its way to clinching a parliamentary majority.

Transparency is a great thing - so great that every democratic country should have it. In that sense, a recent opinion piece in Ta Nea newspaper by Movement for Change (KINAL) MP and former health minister Andreas Loverdos in which he asks for the next Parliament to examine "SYRIZA's attempt to establish a state separate from the democracy of transparency" makes sense.
