BELGRADE -- The Serbian government on Wednesday adopted a set of bills aimed at ensuring financial stability of the country's economic system.

20.3 percent of Serbian population unemployed
BELGRADE - The unemployment rate in Serbia currently stands at 20.3 percent, which is down 0.5 percent from early 2014, and down 3.8 percent compared to the same period last year, the National Employment Service (NSZ) data indicate.

BELGRADE -- The number of the unemployed in Serbia totaled 778,577 people on May 31 this year, putting the registered jobless rate at 29.53 percent.

Number of unemployed drops by 0.39 percent in March
BELGRADE - In March, 790,501 people were registered with the National Employment Service (NZS), which reflects a drop of 0.39 percent or 3,124 people when compared to February.
According to a NZS release, 17.73 percent of those have been looking for a job for one-two years, while 9.2 percent have been on a job search for more than 10 years.
Screening on chapter about freedom of movement for workers
BELGRADE - Representatives of Serbia and the EU will hold a bilateral screening in Brussels on Tuesday, as part of Chapter 2 dealing with the freedom of movement for workers.
