Screening on chapter about freedom of movement for workers

BELGRADE - Representatives of Serbia and the EU will hold a bilateral screening in Brussels on Tuesday, as part of Chapter 2 dealing with the freedom of movement for workers.

The Serbian delegation will be led by Zoran Martinovic, head of the negotiating group 2 and state secretary at the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Policy that has been tasked with conducting the talks in this field, said deputy head of the EU Integration Office Srdjan Majstorovic.

The delegation will comprise representatives of the negotiating team for carrying out the accession talks, the Health Ministry, the Serbian Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance, Fund for Health Insurance, National Employment Service, Institute for Social Insurance and the Mission of the Republic of Serbia in Brussels.

The European Union will be represented by experts from the Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities and Directorate-General for Enlargement, the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Policy announced.

During the meeting, officials will consider in detail the situation concerning the extent to which Serbian laws have been harmonized with the EU Acquis in the following fields: access to labor market, EURES, coordination of the EU social security system and European health insurance card.
