Govt to file report on flood damage repair in three months

BELGRADE - The government of Serbia will not wait for a whole year to pass before it submits the report on flood damage repair, which will be mandatory after the law on recovery is passed, as it will be able to file it after three months or sooner, Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic said Friday.

Progressives' rating "stable," Radicals enjoy "slight rise"

BELGRADE -- The latest Faktor Plus poll shows stable support for the ruling Serb Progressive Party (SNS), and a slight rise in popularity of the Serb Radical Party (SRS).

The Radicals are not represented in parliament and their support is still under the five percent threshold.

Jesic relieved of duties in Vojvodina provincial government

NOVI SAD - The Assembly of Vojvodina on Wednesday relieved Goran Jesic of his duties as the province's deputy prime minister and secretary for agriculture, water resource management and forestry.

Jesic is a deputy leader of the Democratic Party (DS) who has joined the Vojvodina government at the invitation of Prime Minister Bojan Pajtic.

Barroso meets with Pajtic

BELGRADE - European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso met with Democratic Party leader Bojan Pajtic on Sunday.

The meeting was held at the Hyatt Regency Belgrade hotel after Barroso's meeting with New Democratic Party leader Boris Tadic.

The separate meetings with Tadic and Pajtic were also attended by the head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport.
