A Turkish court sentenced Wall Street Journal reporter Ayla Albayrak to two years and one month in prison Tuesday, declaring her guilty of engaging in terrorist propaganda in support of a banned Kurdish separatist organization through one of her Journal articles.

A Turkish court has sentenced Figen Yüksekdağ, a co-chair of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), to one year in jail on accusations of "making propaganda for a terrorist organization," state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

Three militants from the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) were caught on camera in the eastern province of Siirt, with local police claiming the militants were preparing an attack in the center of the province, Doğan News Agency has reported.

The Turkish government has made "an urgent expropriation" decision concerning properties in four southeastern provinces.
