The performance by actors of the "Marin Sorescu" National Theatre of Craiova of Silviu Purcarete's "A Tempest" - an adaptation of William Shakespeare's eponymous play - at the 33rd edition of the Izmir International Theatre Festival was received with great interest by the local public.

Romania is set to participate in this year's edition of the London International Book Fair, about to start on April 14, with 15 publishing houses, according to a release sent by the Romanian Embassy in London to AGERPRES on Thursday.

AGERPRES correspondent Florentina Peia, reports: Romania's ambassador to France Bogdan Mazuru says an incident involving invitations to President Klaus Iohannis's meeting with the local Romanian community was 'an unfortunate blunder.' On Tuesday, he declared he might be responsible, not guilty about a document attached to email invitations that included offensive comments about the guests.

Romania is participating with a national stand in the International Tourism Fair Ferien - Messe Wien, which is held January 15 to January 18 in Vienna, according to the Romanian Cultural Institute's website.

Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) President Lilian Zamfiroiu says in an interview granted to AGERPRES that European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) organising in Bucharest the sixth session of the 'Europe-China Cultural Dialogue' represented an honour for ICR and an acknowledgement of the quality and professionalism of the cultural programmes conducted.

Romanian actor and director Ion Caramitru will host in Sofia the conference titled "Limits of Expectation", as Romania's representative in the Picnic of Freedom in Sofia, an event dedicated to commemorating 25 years since the fall of communism in Europe.
