Hadjidakis in Film | Athens | March 1 & 2
The Greek National Opera presents two movie suites by Manos Hadjidakis at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center on March 1 and 2. The first is the "The Martlet's Tale," a soundtrack penned by the great Greek composer for the 1970 film of the same title directed by John Crowther, which received such poor reviews at its San Francisco preview that it was never released.

Visitors to SNFCC reach 5.3 million in 2018
One in two Athenians, or 5.3 million people, visited the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center last year, based on a survey conducted by QED and presented by Kathimerini.
Visitors said they were attracted by the park and the various cultural and environmental activities.

Rellos & Anastasakis | Athens | February 24

Nicola Conte | Athens | February 25
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) presents Italian jazz pioneer Nicola Conte, who will perform selections from his latest album, "Let Your Light Shine On," as well as selected work dating back to his breakout days in the early 1990s with the Fez collective and his debut album in 2000, "Bossa Per Due." Hedda Gabler Opera | Athens | January 25 - February 3
The Greek National Opera's Alternative Stage and the Medium Project musical theater company present a new chamber opera, "Hedda Gabler," by composer and pianist Giorgos Dousis, based on a libretto by Eri Kyrgia and Henrik Ibsen's drama about a woman who takes her life into her own hands. The title role is shared by Julia Rutigliano and Irena Athanasiou.
