New Rules for Registration of Vehicles Coming into Force on December 27

As of December 27, car dealers will no longer be required to submit a purchase contract to the Traffic Police. Then the electronic system for liaison between the police and the notaries should work, said the Commander Boyko Ranovski, head of the Road Police, before the Bulgarian National Radio. Registration will now be made by the buyer.

Over 620 Machines Clean the Snow, all the National Roads are Passable

Over 620 machines are working on cleading the road surfaces. All republican roads are passable in winter conditions. This was announced by the press center of the Road Infrastructure Agency. The high-passes of Petrohan, Troyan, Shipka and the Republic are cleaned up to asphalt.

Traffic measures to be put into effect for Polytechnic celebrations

Traffic police are putting extraordinary traffic regulations start from today until Friday in Athens due to the planned celebrations for the 44th anniversary of the Polytechnic uprising.
As police announced, diversions have been planned for today and Thursday concentrating around the Polytechnic in downtown Athens and Kanningos Square.

Traffic police probe crash that left three dead, one seriously hurt

Traffic Police in Thessaloniki on Tuesday were seeking to determine the circumstances of a collision near the center of the northern port that left three people dead and one seriously injured.

The crash between two motorcycles and a car being driven by a 67-year-old German national killed the two motorcyclists and a passenger on one of the bikes.

Streets to close in Kifissia on Sunday for race

Motorists are advised to avoid the northern Athenian suburb of Kifissia on Sunday morning, as many key streets will be closed down for a race.

The Traffic Police on Thursday said that key stretches on Kifissias Avenue, Harilaou Trikoupi, Tatoiou, Ekalis and Ethnikis Antistaseos, among many others, would be closed off to traffic.

Bulgarian Traffic Police Will Increase Seat Belt Checks

Bulgaria's Traffic Police launched an operation under TISPOL, the European Traffic Police Network, for the use of safety equipment during travelling, the Ministry of Interior press office said on 11th of September. The operation will run until 17th of September, reported the Bugarian National Televsion. 

The Ministry of Interior Reinforces the Control of Drivers under the Influence of Drugs

The Ministry of the Interior has announced a public procurement contract for the purchase of 4165 cartridges for small-scale devices to check the use of drugs by drivers. Reports Sega. 

The value of the order is over BGN 115 000 without VAT. 2000 cartridges have to be delivered to the Traffic Police authorities within 60 days of the conclusion of the contract.
