The Constitutional Court in Kosovo on Thursday has thrown the future of the national negotiating team with Serbia into question after ruling that its mandate and competences of were unconstitutional.

"There are two million people living there. There is the act of declaration of independence. If someone dares to negotiate the territory of Kosovo, then he is against the Constitution, Haradinaj told the T7 broadcaster, Koha reported.

This is being reported on Thursday by Prisina based Albanian language website lajmi.net.

This scenario is realistic, explained Haradinaj, because the Democratic Party of Kosovo, led by Kadri Veseli, who is also the president of the Assembly, could leave the government.

Haradinaj told the website syri.net that he was "not afraid of elections that would occur in that case," adding that his coalition partner Veseli "could take steps to leave the government."

According to Pristina based Gazeta Express media outlet, these measures will remain in effect "as long as Belgrade acts against Pristina."

Haradinaj spoke about taxes in response to Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic - who allegedly, according to some Pristina media - "wrote to Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama asking him to reconsider Albania's support to Kosovo."

Haradinaj told reporters in Pristina on Tuesday that she was guilty because she allowed the process to "get derailed."

Haradinaj, the prime minister of the provisional Pristina institutions, told the Insajderi website that "Kosovo has those who will defend it."

"One American soldier here will be enough," he explained, and stressed that Pristina "would be supported by the US in that situation."

Haradinaj said this Kosovo's move was the consequence of Serbian and Bosnian actions, Beta agency reported.

Speaking for Tirana, Albania-based broadcaster Ora News, the Swiss jurist also noted that Kosovo "cannot be a state."

Del Ponte explained that Haradinaj has been convicted in the first instance by the Hague war crimes tribunal, while Kosovo does not fulfill the conditions necessary to be a state.

He repeated he was against any ideas about land swap or border correction between Kosovo and Serbia, Pristina based Zeri newspaper writes.

Answering the question in a special press conference about why he wasn't participating in Kosovo dialogue in Brussels Haradinaj said he wasn't rejecting his constitutional obligations but that he simply didn't have the time for the dialogue.
