Turkey's possible purchase of US-made Patriot missile systems will not impact its deal to buy Russian S-400 systems, Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin told a news conference on Monday.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived in Buenos Aires on Wednesday to join a Group of 20 summit, media reported, as he aims to shrug off the lingering stigma of journalist Jamal Khashoggi's murder, reports AFP. 

The prince was received at the airport by Argentina's foreign minister Jorge Faurie, according to Argentine press.

The United States is supporting the YPG in Syria but the group's presence in the war-torn country is becoming a threat to Turkey's national security, presidential spokesperson İbrahim Kalın has said.

Several gunshots from a vehicle by unidentified assailants were fired at the United States Embassy in Ankara early on Aug 20 in an attack that the Turkish government condenmed as "a clear provocation."

Turkey's presidential spokesperson İbrahim Kalın Aug. 18 called an article by the New York Times about the Turkish airstrike targeting a chief of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) "a blatant attempt to justify and whitewash PKK terrorism."

Presidential spokesperson İbrahim Kalın said the recent fluctuations of the Turkish Lira against the United States dollar have been "brought under control," adding that the speculations over the national currency have been overcome. 

Turkish presidential spokesperson İbrahim Kalın met with the community leaders of religious minorities on Aug. 1 at the Dolmabahçe Presidential Office in Istanbul. 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's spokesperson İbrahim Kalın said Turkey will continue to "protect Turkish Cypriots," on the Mediterranean island, adding that "no fait accompli will be allowed."
