Flood relief accounts receive nearly EUR 6 million

BELGRADE -- Donors have so far paid nearly EUR 6 million to the dinar (RSD), hard currency, and PayPal accounts of the Serbian government set up to help flood victims.

BELGRADE - Finance Minister Lazar Krstic has said that the aid for repairing the damage caused by floods is pouring in every day, with RSD 451 million paid so far into the dinar account, and over EUR 1.5 million into the foreign currency account of the Serbian government.

BELGRADE - The EU has proposed a series of measures to the Serbian government for the improvement of the economy and finances, which largely coincide with the measures announced by the Serbian government.

Minister of Economy Dusan Vujovic was named Serbia's deputy governor to the EBRD at the government's session on Thursday.

He added that government policy "can only be conducted by its president, not its ministers individually."
