Students join event marking Atatürk’s legacy

Thousands of students from the country's all 81 provinces have placed their artistic creations dedicated to modern Türkiye founder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk inside the traveling suitcases across the country as part of the "Tribute to Atatürk Suitcase" project as the country is commemorating the great leader on his 85th death anniversary on Nov. 10.

Cultural Road Festival to close in Antalya

The last leg of the Culture and Tourism Ministry's Cultural Road Festival will be held in the southern province of Antalya. More than 500 events will be held at nearly 50 locations during the event to be held between Nov. 4 and 12.

Events will be held at locations including the ancient city of Side, Cumhuriyet Square, Clock Tower, Konyaaltı, Kaleiçi and many other venues.

100 warships conduct historic parade on Türkiye’s centenary

Some 100 warships have sailed and carried out an unprecedented procession on Istanbul's Bosphorus in the Turkish Navy's largest parade to mark the 100th anniversary of the foundation of modern Türkiye on Oct. 29.

Scores of Istanbulities flocked to the coastlines or the hills of the city, where they were able to witness the historic navy procession.

Şahika Ercümen performs special dive to mark centenary

Renowned national diver Şahika Ercümen, who holds dozens of world and national records, has performed a free dive in the country's tourism hub Antalya to mark the 100th anniversary of the republic.

Setting out from Konyaaltı Beach by boat, Ercümen embarked on a free dive, resurfacing with a banner displaying the message "The Republic of Türkiye is 100 years old."
