Türkiye slams Israeli foreign minister's statement on Turkish president

Türkiye on Friday sharply criticized Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz, accusing him of making statements full of "disrespect, lies and slander" about Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli government for its policies "trying to prolong its time in power," saying Israel is perpetuating violence and instability in the region.

Erdoğan seeks support for peace efforts in Syria

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Friday stressed the importance of efforts for peace in neighboring Syria, urging all peace advocates to support this pivotal call.

"We want peace in Syria, and we expect everyone who stands for peace to support this historic call," Erdoğan told journalists during his return flight from a NATO leaders' summit in Washington, DC, this week.

Erdoğan holds bilateral talks at NATO summit in US

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is engaging in intensive bilateral talks during his visit to the United States for a three-day NATO summit.

The gathering kicked off with a ceremony commemorating the alliance's 75th anniversary.

Following the opening event, Erdoğan met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at his hotel.
