Bulgaria's Chief Prosecutor Commented President's Veto on Penal Code Changes

Bulgaria's Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov said that the amendments to the Penal Code, which President Rumen Radev vetoed, should be clarified. The most controversial of the changes is the so-called "secret arrest," in which, at the discretion of the prosecutor, a detained person can get a ban to inform his relatives within 48 hours about the arrest, reports BNT.

Bulgarian President Rumen Radev to Meet Abdullah II of Jordan in Amman

President Rumen Radev, who is on an official visit to Jordan at the invitation of King Abdullah II, will meet with him today in the capital, Amman.
 
In the Royal Palace, the Bulgarian President and his wife Desislava Radeva will be greeted with an official ceremony of their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania.

Today We are Celebrating the International Volunteer Day

On December 5th, we celebrate the International Volunteer Day, reported the Bulgarian National Television.

For the first time, the day was celebrated in 1985 on the initiative of the UN when the world organization urged all parties to express their respect and gratitude to the volunteers, giving more visibility to their work.

President Rumen Radev presented the Bulgarian position of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, which takes place in the Polish city of Katowice, the press-secretariat of the head of state announced. In it he linked ecologically clean energy to the supply of Russian gas to Bulgaria, reports Dnevnik.
