Bulgaria's Chief Prosecutor and Interior Minister are on a Visit to Abu Dhabi

The visit of Bulgaria's Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov and Interior Minister Mladen Marinov to Abu Dhabi continues on 5th of February, reports BNT. 

They are there at the invitation of the UAE Attorney General Dr Hamad Al Shamsi. The main topics of the talks are cooperation in penal criminal matters and the fight against organised crime and terrorism.

The Prosecutor's Office has charged Elena Yoncheva. The MP on the left is accused of money laundering.

In November last year, Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov demanded the immunity of six MPs, including Veselin Mareshki. It then became clear that Elena Yoncheva will be investigated for money laundering in particularly large amounts, appropriated by the already bankrupt CCB.

Bulgaria's Chief Prosecutor Commented President's Veto on Penal Code Changes

Bulgaria's Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov said that the amendments to the Penal Code, which President Rumen Radev vetoed, should be clarified. The most controversial of the changes is the so-called "secret arrest," in which, at the discretion of the prosecutor, a detained person can get a ban to inform his relatives within 48 hours about the arrest, reports BNT.

Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov is on a working visit to Ankara at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart, Mehmet Akardja, the press center of the prosecutor's office said, reported the Bulgarian National Television. 

The main topics of discussion between the two countries are cooperation in criminal matters and the fight against organized crime.

Bulgaria Chief Prosecutor Threatened Criminal Proceedings if the Cabinet is Inactive for Yulen's Concession

Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov threatened to prosecute if the government continued to take no action for the concession of the ski area above Bansko, which is owned by the Yulen company. This happened during his participation in the Slavi Show on the day after the visit of Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, reports Dnevnik.
