Romania's Prime Minister Viorica Dancila on Monday welcomed Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zakharieva and Greece's Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias, in the presence of the head of the Romanian diplomacy Teodor Melescanu.

Foreign Affairs Minister Teodor Melescanu stated on Monday, at the end of the meeting at foreign affairs ministers level of the Romania-Bulgaria-Greece Trilateral cooperation format, that this meeting represented an opportunity to assume the commitment regarding the strengthening of the European project.

Foreign Affairs Minister Teodor Melescanu attended on Thursday, on the first day of his official visit to the Republic of Croatia, the opening of the Honorary Consulate in Split, underscoring on this occasion that one of the main tasks of the new office is granting support to the Romanian community on a local level and to the Romanian citizens who are visiting Croatia.

Prime Minister Viorica Dancila convened on Tuesday at Victoria Palace the first Inter-ministerial Committee dedicated to the preparation of the Centennial, specifying that "unity should be the key word" this year.

The message conveyed by European Commission First Vice-President Frans Timmermans during his visit to Bucharest this week were "extremely encouraging", and the trip of the EU official had been scheduled a long time before, Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodor Melescanu on Friday evening told private broadcaster Digi24.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodor Melescanu on Monday chaired the meeting of the Group for European Action of the Republic of Moldova (GAERM), informed MAE in a press release.

The meeting was organized in Brussels on the sidelines of the Foreign Affairs Council, where the Moldovan Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Tudor Ulianovschi was the main guest.

Romania's Foreign Minister Teodor Melescanu attended an informal meeting of the EU foreign affairs ministers (Gymnich) in Sofia on Thursday and Friday, where he reconfirmed Romania's commitment to the EU continuing its enlargement policy and support for the Western Balkans, the Romanian Foreign Ministry (MAE) reported in a press statement on Friday.

Romania's Foreign Minister Teodor Melescanu says the future of Romania is greatly linked to stability and development in the Mediterranean region, and the current relations between Romania and the countries in this region are all the more stronger for being "cemented by the bonds that exist at the human level."
