Construction reaches last stage in four districts of southeastern Turkish province

Construction efforts have reached the final stage in four districts of the southeastern province of Şırnak, which were severely damaged in clashes between the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and the security forces over the last two years. 

66 PKK militants 'neutralized' in one week: Turkish Interior Ministry

A total of 66 militants from the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) have been "neutralized" in security operations in one week, the Turkish Interior Ministry announced on April 24. 

According to the ministry, 53 militants were killed, eight surrendered and five were captured alive in some 321 ground and air operations carried out between April 17 and 24. 

Soldier killed in PKK attack in Turkey's southeast

One soldier was killed in an outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) attack in the Uludere district of the southeastern province of Şırnak on April 22.

The soldier was wounded during an ongoing security operation against the PKK and was taken to the Şırnak State Hospital with a military helicopter, where he succumbed to his wounds.

26 PKK militants 'neutralized' in Turkey's Şırnak

A total of 26 outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants were "neutralized" during operations against targets in the southeastern province of Şırnak, the Turkish military announced on April 20.      

According to the latest statement, the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) announced that eight more PKK militants were "neutralized" in operations in the Nalaguva Tepe region.

New video of Turkish man singing duet with famous singer Anne-Marie goes viral

Yet another video of a man from Turkey's southeast singing a duet of "Ciao Adios" with British singer Anne-Marie through the mobile karaoke application "Smule" has gone viral online.

Mehmet Ali Şulan from the Cizre district of the southeastern province of Şırnak accompanied Anne-Marie with lyrics sung in Kurdish.

33 PKK militants killed in past week across Turkey: Ministry

A total of 33 outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants were killed over the past week as part of ongoing nationwide operations, according to an official statement from the Turkish Interior Ministry on April 10, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.        

The statement said security forces conducted 456 operations against the PKK between April 3 and 10.
