Less service on Athens transport over holiday weekend
Service on the Athens transport system will slow down over the long Easter weekend, the OASA transit company said on Thursday, presenting the schedule for the capital's metro, tram, buses and trolley buses.
On Saturday in particular, buses and trolley buses will start pulling off the road after 10 p.m. so that drivers can attend church for the Resurrection service at midnight.
Holy Light from Jerusalem scheduled to arrive in Athens on Saturday afternoon
The annual arrival of the Holy Light in Athens will take place on Holy Saturday (April 15) aboard a special flight conducted by Aegean Airlines from Jerusalem. It will later be shared by airplane with other major cities ahead of church easter services at midnight that day.

Intercity train from Athens to Thessaloniki experiences power outage, passengers left stranded
An Intercity train traveling from Athens to Thessaloniki on Sunday experienced a power outage, causing it to come to a sudden stop just outside the city of Larissa in central Greece.
The incident caused unrest among the passengers as the lights went out.

House sale prices grew 10% in Athens over the first quarter
The sales prices of houses in Attica grew twice as fast as rents in the first quarter of 2023, according to the processing of the data from the Spitogatos Property Index (SPI).
The increase in sales prices in the capital was 10% at an annual basis, while that for rent amounted to 4.9%.
