Aleksandar Vucic has received a delegation of EP's Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) and the Subcommittee on Human and Minority Rights (DROI).

The European Parliament (EP) delegation that met with the Serbian prime minister in Belgrade on Thursday was led by Elmar Brok, the Serbian government said on its website.

After EU heads meet on Wednesday, Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn is heading to Serbia on Friday to discuss the refugee crisis, after Serbia was marked a "hotspot" for refugees beside Italy, Greece and Turkey.

Aleksandar Vucic has written to EU officials to warn that by closing the border with Serbia to freight traffic Croatia violated the SAA.

It also "inflicted direct damage to Serbia's economic cooperation with the European Union."

Aleksandar Vucic has sent a letter to EU officials asking for "an explanation od the brutal violation of the SAA" that Serbia signed with the organization.

The prime minister said on Wednesday that the border with Croatia remains closed for "a third, fourth" day and that Serbia is suffering great damage because of it.

Serbian leaders on Tuesday did not respond to calls to dismiss Bratislav Gasic, Defence Minister, and Petar Cvetkovic, head of the Military Security Agency, VBA, as Ombudsman Sasa Jankovic advised.

Aleksandar Vucic says Serbia will start implementing a package of measures at midnight tomorrow if there is no agreement with Croatia to open border crossings.

Belgrade sets deadline for EU "to react" to Croatia's move

Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday morning Serbia will react to Croatia's shutting down of the border for Serbian trucks "unless the EU reacts by 14:00 (CET)."

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic met on Tuesday in Belgrade with German Ambassador to Serbia Axel Dittmann.

According to the Serbian government website, the diplomat "who voiced support to the continuation of the process of European integration of Serbia."

Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic on Tuesday dismissed Croatian claims that Serbia was deliberately redirecting refugees towards Croatia instead of Hungary, which closed its borders to refugees last week.

Serbia cannot alter the routes used by refugees and limit their freedom of movement in the country, he said.

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic asked Croatian authorities on Monday afternoon to withdraw their decision to halt freight traffic between the two countries.
