New Covid-19 cases below 1,000 after 41 days
The number of new daily coronavirus cases has dropped below 1,000 for the first time since Oct. 26, Greek health authorities announced Sunday.
There were 904 confirmed cases over the past 24 hours, along with 101 deaths, authorities said.
The total number of confirmed infections since the start of the pandemic is 115,471, with 3,003 deaths.

Expert health committee to discuss school reopening on Monday
Greece's committee of health experts is expected to convene on Monday to decide on whether to allow schools to reopen briefly ahead of the Christmas holidays.

As many as 8,072 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been recorded in the last 24 hours, following 32,441 national tests, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) reported on Saturday. These are cases that have not previously had a positive test, the GCS states. On the territory of Romania, 508,345 cases of people infected with the novel coronavirus have been confirmed to date.
