GCS: 3,252 new COVID-19 cases; tests conducted in past 24 hours - 8,059
A number of 3,252 new cases of persons infected with SARS-CoV-2 were recorded in the past 24 hours, following the processing of 8,059 tests conducted at the national level, informs, on Monday, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS). These are cases that had not tested positive previously, the GCS mentions.

A number of 30 countries remain in the yellow zone, which means that people who return to Romania from these countries, including Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy and the United States, will have to quarantine at home for 14 days.

These are cases that have not previously had a positive test, says GCS. To date, 524,675 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus have been confirmed in Romania.

Infant treated for coronavirus in Volos hospital
A 30-day-old baby infected with SARS-CoV-2 was being treated at the pediatric clinic of the Achillopouleio Hospital in the city of Volos on Monday, without any symptoms.
The baby's mother is also being tested while its grandmother has tested positive for the virus.

UPDATE GCS: 3,660 new COVID-19 cases; tests processed in last 24 hours - 8,791
A number of 3,660 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been registered in the last 24 hours, following 8,791 tests processed at national level, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) reported on Monday. These are cases that have not had previously a positive test, the GCS says. In Romania, 517,236 cases of people infected with the novel coronavirus have been confirmed so far.
98 new Covid-19 deaths, lower number of infections
Greek health authorities announced 1,667 new SARS-CoV-2 cases on Friday, pushing the total number to 113,185.
Of the new cases, only nine were detected in Attica.
The daily death toll was also high on Friday, with the National Organization for Public Health (EODY) reporting 98 new deaths from Covid-19, raising the total number of fatalities to 2,804.
