British film about Serbian football coach to open Beldocs

BELGRADE - The 7th International Documentary Film Festival, Beldocs, is to officially open in Belgrade on Thursday, and will screen 34 Serbian and foreign films in total.

The opening ceremony at the Sava Centre will feature the Serbian premieres of two exceptional films about fascinating individuals from the region who have carved out successful careers in sport and music.

Month-Long Celebration of Belgrade's Architecture

Besides numerous exhibitions, the festival running from May 8 to 31 under the overarching theme of "Public Space", includes 16 workshops as well as 10 tours.

Alongside domestic experts in the field, the international guests at the festival are Hans Nevidal from Austria, Geir Brendeland from Norway and Zef Hemel from The Netherlands.

9th BINA begins on Thursday

BELGRADE - The 9th Belgrade International Architecture Week (BINA) titled "Spaces of Publicness" will open at the Cultural Centre of Belgrade (KCB) on Thursday, offering various events such as walks, workshops, exhibitions and lectures.

Serbia at Thessaloniki book fair

BELGRADE - Serbia will take part in the 11th International Book Fair in Thessaloniki May 8-11, the National Library of Serbia has announced.

The fair will bring together around 400 exhibitors, and Israel is the guest of honor. Serbia was the guest of honor at the Thessaloniki fair in 2012.
