Đoković trains in Belgrade, says he'll be ready for Rome
BELGRADE -- Serbia's top-ranked tennis player Novak Đoković said on Friday that he is pleased with the progress made while recovering from a wrist injury.
He added he would "almost certainly play at the upcoming Masters tournament in Rome."
Krstic appointed Serbia's governor to EBRD, Vujovic deputy
BELGRADE - On the proposal of the Serbian Ministry of Finance, the Serbian government appointed Minister of Finance Lazar Krstic as Serbia's governor to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Serbian government's website reads.
Minister of Economy Dusan Vujovic was named Serbia's deputy governor to the EBRD at the government's session on Thursday.
National Museum to stage exhibition Light in Darkness of WWI
BELGRADE - The National Museum in Belgrade will from May 10 to September 10 hold an exhibition titled Light in the Darkness of World War I to commemorate its 170th anniversary and the centenary of the outbreak of World War I.
Days of Macedonian Culture in Belgrade to open on Saturday
BELGRADE - The event dubbed “Days of the Macedonian Culture in Belgrade” will open on May 10 with an exhibition of Macedonian carvings entitled “From Tradition to Art”.
The exhibition will be opened by Macedonian Ambassador to Serbia Vera Jovanovska at the House of Djura Jaksic in Skadarlija.
Belgrade Poetry Festival begins on May 14
BELGRADE - The 8th Belgrade Festival of Poetry and Literature entitled 'Trgni se! Poezija!' (Snap! Poetry!) will be held in the Belgrade City Library (BGB) from may 14 to 17 and it will gather over 20 poets, translators and artists from ten countries, the officials announced at the press conference.
