The prospect of rising tensions in the Black Sea after Washington's claim that a Russian fighter jet downed a US surveillance drone near Crimea is naturally a cause of major concern. Most observers have so far focused on eastern Ukraine. However, not far from there, dark clouds are gathering from the Carpathians to the Caucasus and from the Sea of Azov to the Bosporus Strait.

An area of ​​20 square kilometers in the Thracian region of Turkey near the border with Bulgaria has been declared a prohibited military zone of the 2nd degree, BTA reported. 

The Minister of Health issued an order imposing a temporary ban on entry into the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria of persons and vehicles entering the country from the Republic of Turkey through the following border checkpoints: Lesovo - Hamzabeyli, Kapitan Andreevo - Kapıkule, Malko Tarnovo.

For another day, the traffic at the border checkpoints - Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo, at the border with Turkey is very intense at the exit for trucks.

Border police added that this morning the border traffic with Greece at Kulata border checkpoint was also intense at the exit for trucks.

Traffic congestion is formed at Bulgaria's main border checkpoint with Turkey - Kapitan Andreevo. The queue of heavy trucks entering Bulgaria's southern neighbour is over 20 km long. Currently, the last tracks are shortly after the Shell gas station, located between Lyubimets and Svilengrad.

This morning there is considerable truck traffic from Bulgaria on Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo checkpoints, Border Police said. Traffic through all other border checkpoints in the country is normal. Traffic data was reported as of 6 am.

On the borders with Serbia, Macedonia, Greece and Romania, there is normal traffic through all crossings.

Sofia. On the Bulgarian-Greek border, there is heavy truck traffic in both directions on Kulata checkpoint, according to Border Police data as of 8.00 am.
On the border with Turkey, there is heavy truck traffic from Bulgaria on Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo.

The traffic through the second tunnel of the Lyulin highway at km 10 in the direction of Pernik will be carried out consecutively in the right and left tunnel pipes due to the repair of the lighting installation, announced the Road Infrastructure Agency. From there, they urged drivers to move with caution and slow speed, keeping track of road signs.
