Bulgarian PM, IKEA Founder Discuss Opportunities for Business Development

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Ingvar Kamprad, founder and owner of IKEA, discussed the opportunities for business development at a meeting in Sofia on Friday.

Kamprad introduced to Borisov the intentions of the Swedish company to increase its turnover from Bulgaria.

Bulgaria's Ruling Majority to Present Draft Constitutional Amendments by May 14

By May 14, GERB (Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria), the Reformist Bloc, the Patriotic Front and the Alternative for Bulgarian Revival should present the draft amendments to the Constitutions to all parliamentary groups, according to Parliament Speaker Tsetska Tsacheva.

Bulgaria Ranked 49th in World Economic Forum's 2015 Tourism Report

Bulgaria ranks 49th among 141 countries included in the World Economic Forum's 2015 Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report.

Spain tops the ranking with a score of 5.3 points, followed by France and Germany with 5.2 points.

Bulgaria has a score of 4.

The Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report ranks 141 countries across 14 separate dimensions (on a scale of 1-7).

Subway Extension to Business Park Sofia Opens

Subway to the Sofia Business Park in Mladost 4 has been launched today.

The new segment of the underground network is 3-kilometer long with three new stops - Aleksandar Malinov, Akad. Aleksandar Teodorov- Balan and Business Park.

The total cost of the project amounts to EUR 44 M or a little less than EUR 15 M per kilometer.

Cabinet Allocates BGN 500 000 for Restoration of First Bulgarian Capital Pliska

The Bulgarian cabinet allocated on Thursday BGN 500 000 for archaeological and restoration works at the first Bulgarian capital of Pliska.

This was announced after a meeting between Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, Regional Minister Lilyana Pavlova, Director of the National Historical Museum (NIM) Bozhidar Dimitrov, the mayor of the nearby town of Kaspichan and archaeologists.

Monument of Bulgarian Writer Ivan Vazov to be Unveiled in Argentina

A bust monument dedicated to the prominent Bulgarian writer Ivan Vazov will be soon unveiled in the Argentinian town of Berisso.

The idea originated from the Bulgarian cultural society in Berisso, which is named after the writer, announced the mayor of Vazov's hometown Sopot.
