La Traviata Conducted by Ljubka Biagioni to Debut in Sofia on February 14

Giuseppe Verdi's opera "La Traviata" with conductor Ljubka Biagioni will be performed for the first time in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture (NDK) in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia on February 14.

The soloists on the stage will be Marta Torbidoni - soprano, Mihail Mihaylov - tenor and Anton Keremedtchiev - baritone.

Sofia Hosts International Short Film Festival on 8-13 December

The capital of Bulgaria will host for the first time IN THE PALACE International Short Film Festival, which will take place at the National Palace of Culture (NDK) between December 8 and 13.

The audience will have the opportunity to watch more than 100 movies, each of them with a length of up to 27 minutes.

Special effects and lights will illuminate the National Palace of Culture (NDK) in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia at 19:15 EET on Saturday evening.

The facade will be illuminated in different colours, bringing the iconic building to life and turning it into a true attraction for the inhabitants and visitors of the capital.

Folk Fest Drawing Tens of Thousands to Bulgaria's Koprivshtitsa This Weekend

As many as 40 000 people gathered in Koprivshtitsa for the opening day a traditional festival which is being held in the picturesque town for the eleventh time.

Some 12 000 people from Bulgaria and other countries are taking part in the spectacular events which include much dancing, much singing, handicraft, storytelling, and, of course, some food.

NDK Pavement Renovation Reaches BGN 300

The total value of the renovation works taking place near the National Palace of Culture (NDK) continues to grow.

An additional sum of BGN 315,600 will be allocated to the project, as reported by BGNES.

The new portion of the funds will be used for the substitution of the red pavement across the park and all around the building.

Bulgaria Marks 139th Anniversary of April Uprising

Bulgaria marks the 139th anniversary of the 1876 April Uprising for the liberation of Bulgaria.

Celebrations will be held in different towns and cities in the country, including Koprivshtitsa, Klisura, and Panagyurishte.

Koprivshtitsa was one of the centers of the Uprising and is known for its traditional Bulgarian architecture, making it a very popular tourist destination.
