Türkiye hosts FIVB Volleyball Women Championship in Antalya

Türkiye will be hosting the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship for the second successive time, the Turkish Volleyball Federation has announced.

"The competition will be held in [the southern province of] Antalya between Dec. 14 and 18," it said in a statement.

Türkiye will be represented in the tournament with two teams, Vakıfbank and Eczacıbaşı Dynavit.

VakıfBank get silver in women's Volley Super Final

Turkish volleyball club VakıfBank won silver at the 2021 Women's CEV Champions League Volley on May 1, losing 3-2 to Italy's Carraro Imoco in the final.

"2021 Champions League Second Place! We are proud of you girls!," the Turkish team said in a statement.

Carraro Imoco won the five-set final 22 - 25, 25 - 22, 23 - 25, 25 - 23, 15 - 12 at Verona's AGSM Forum.

2015 Men's Volleyball European Championship Begins in Bulgaria, Italy

The 29th edition of the men's volleyball European Championship begins in Bulgaria and Italy on Friday.

The final round of the tournament, which will last between October 9 and 18, is hosted by four cities - Sofia and Varna in Bulgaria and Turin and Busto Arsizio in Italy.

A total of sixteen teams are split into four groups with four teams each.

Eczac?ba?? VitrA crowned champions of European women's volleyball

Turkish team Eczac?ba?? VitrA has been crowned the 2015 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League winners in Poland after beating Italy?s Unendo Yamamay in three straight sets in the final on April 5.

Skipping past another Turkish club, Vak?fBank, 3-1 in the semifinal, the wom-en of Eczac?ba?? VitrA won the title after beating the Italian team 25-22, 25-20, 25-21.

Women's volleyball: Partizan drops out of Champions League

BELGRADE - Women's volleyball club Partizan was defeated by Turkey's Vakifbank Istanbul 25-13, 25-11, 25-11 in the last, sixth round of Group E of the Champions League in Belgrade on Wednesday evening.

The Serbian team finished fourth with six defeats and two points behind European giants Vakifbank, Cannes and Piacenza.
