Delays in major projects make investors reluctant
The Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) has again warned that overtaxation could keep the country's growth rates at subdued levels, while the obstacles the government is putting in the way of big investment projects such as the Halkidiki gold mines (Eldorado Gold) and the development of the former airport at Elliniko (Lamda Development) serve as a deterrent to other would-be investors.

Eldorado to freeze investments in Greece's Skouries project
Eldorado Gold said on Thursday it would freeze investments in its Skouries gold mine in Greece, taking a tough stand in its battle with the country's government.
Eldorado's investment is one of the biggest in Greece and has long been viewed as a test of the country's resolve to attract foreign capital.
Zafeiropoulos murder suspect remanded in custody
A 32-year-old man who has allegedly confessed to taking part in the contract killing of lawyer Michalis Zafeiropoulos in Athens last month was remanded to custody pending trial on Thursday.
The Albanian national gave a brief account of his actions to an investigating magistrate, in which he reportedly admitted to his role in the fatal shooting of the prominent criminal lawyer.

Turkish jets violate airspace after PM's sortie
Three Turkish military aircraft - two armed fighter jets and a CN-235 - violated Greek air space in the northeastern, central and southeastern Aegean on two occasions on Thursday.
The transgressions came just a few hours after Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras flew in a Greek F-16 fighter jet following a visit to the 110th combat wing of the Hellenic Air Force in Larissa, central Greece.
