More than 480 hotels in Greece go up for sale

New research has revealed that more than 480 hotels in Crete, Macedonia, Chania and other places in Greece have been put up for sale in the past month, as Daily Mail reports citing local media.

According to the publication, some of the hotels are being sold for prices as low as €250,000 adding that this price is less than half the cost of a two-bedroom house in Fulham, London.

President Pavlopoulos inaugurates Venizelos’ museum

Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos hailed on Sunday the vision and work of former Prime Minister Eleftherios Venizelos in a ceremony inaugurating a museum dedicated to the Cretan politician.

The building of the museum was the former residence of Eleftherios Venizelos which has been renovated, located at the suburb of Halepa, in the city of Chania, Crete.

Tourists and Greeks dance Zorba in Crete (videos)

Locals from Chania, Crete joined hands with tourists to form a big circle dance at the port of the Old Town in Chania. For over 20 minutes young and old, Greeks and foreigners were dancing to the tune of the classic ‘Zorba’. The event was organized by a number of Cretan cultural groups to promote the city of Chania.
