US embassy condemns attacks against AHU, calls for arrest of perpetrators
The US embassy in Athens on Tuesday strongly condemned the two attacks on the Hellenic American Union offices in Thessaloniki and Athens by anarchist groups who support hunger-striker and jailed terrorist Dimitris Koufodinas.
"We strongly condemn the recent attacks on American educational institutions in Thessaloniki and Athens," the embassy said in a tweet.
Third anarchist group demands furlough for N17 terrorist in new stunt
In the third such incident on Monday, 20 members of an anti-establishment group stormed into the offices of SYRIZA's prefectural committee in the city of Volos and remained there, demanding that jailed November 17 terrorist Dimitris Koufodinas is granted a furlough.

US embassy holds minute's silence for slain diplomats
The staff of the US Embassy in Athens on Friday observed a minute's silence for members of the US Foreign Service killed by the now defunct Greek domestic terrorist group November 17.
They did so on the occasion of Foreign Affairs Day, an annual commemoration of those who lost their lives serving the US overseas.

A three-judge criminal court in Athens on Wednesday passed down a 16-year suspended prison sentence to Greek arms dealer Thomas Liakounakos, a senior executive of his company SONAK and two former defense ministry officials in connection with an electronic defense system which SONAK was commissioned to provide for the Greek army but which it failed to deliver.
