Police issues warning over bogus tax rebates emails
The Greek polices cyber crime unit issued a warning over the weekend regarding a series of bogus e-mails addressed to taxpayers with regard to tax rebates.
The e-mails appeared to have been sent by the Finance Ministry and contain demands that taxpayers disclose private information and financial details in order to get money back from the state.

Serbian Police Probe Mass Data Theft Claim
Police are investigating claims by a group of hackers that they have got hold of data on everyone in the country.
"We have whole Serbia in our hands. We have almost all information about Serbian citizens, starting from their ID numbers to information on what they do, where they live and what are their phone numbers," the hackers wrote in an email sent to the media on Thursday.

Pirate Bay Goes Offline After Swedish Police Raid
The infamous torrent site The Pirate Bay was taken offline on Tuesday after a raid by Swedish police, reports The Verge.
Officers investigating the decade-old file-sharing portal's alleged copyright infringements targeted a server room in Stockholm, seizing "several servers and computers," according to veteran file-sharing case prosecutor Fredrik Ingblad.

Uber Carhire Mobile App Launches Operations in Sofia
Uber, the mobile app for ride sharing and car hiring has launched operations in Sofia.
According to the official information, the fare per kilometre is BGN 0.4 - about half as cheap as the fares of the regular taxi companies. The initial fee is BGN 0.7, the fee for one minute of stay is BGN 0.2. The cancellation fee is BGN 3. The minimum fare is also BGN 3.

BELGRADE -- The Serbian police director, Milorad Veljovic, on Monday denied that he had sent "an open letter" criticizing Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic.
