Turkey's media watchdog fines TV station for using 'God' instead of 'Allah'
Turkey?s media watchdog has issued a formal warning to a private station over its use of the word ?God,? rather than ?Allah,? in the dubbing of a foreign TV series.
Fez, niqab now allowed in marriage photos in Turkey
Turkish citizens are now allowed to pose wearing a fez or a niqab in photographs officializing their wedding, due to a new change in marriage regulations.
The most hotly debated issue in an amended article that passed into law on Feb. 10 is the new stipulation that couples would not have to acquire a "license to marry" before they can wed.

Turkish gov't to require pre-nuptial 'licenses to marry'
Couples in Turkey will now be required to acquire a ?license to marry? before they can wed following a new cabinet decision.
?A person who applies for marriage according to the provisions of this regulation must prepare the affidavit and the license to marry,? according to an amended article that was published in the Official Gazette on Feb. 10.
