Border Police: Heavy Truck Traffic to Bulgaria on Kalotina and at Exit on the Borders with Greece, Turkey and Romania

As of 6.00 am, there is heavy truck traffic to Bulgaria on Kalotina checkpoint and at exit on the borders with Greece, Turkey and Romania, Border Police said. On the border with Greece, there is considerable traffic on Kulata, while on the borders with Turkey and Romania - on Kapitan Andreevo, Lesovo and Danube Bridge Ruse checkpoints.

Bulgarian Border Police: Heavy Truck Traffic on Borders with Greece, Serbia, Turkey and Romania

As of 6.00 am, there is heavy truck traffic on the Bulgarian borders with Greece, Serbia, Turkey and Romania. Border Police reported considerable inbound traffic on Kalotina checkpoint, while on Kulata, Kapitan Andreevo, Lesovo and Danube Bridge many trucks are leaving Bulgaria. On the border with Macedonia, there is normal traffic on all checkpoints.

A Record Number of Cars Have Passed Through Danube Bridge 2 in 2018

It is expected this year the millionth car to pass through Danube Bridge 2, reported the Bulgarian National Television.

For the first time since the facility was opened, the annual number of vehicles passed on will exceed one million.

 There are about 2800 vehicles crossing the bridge a day, with more than half of them being heavy-duty.

As of 6.00 am, there is heavy truck traffic from Bulgaria on the borders with Romania, Turkey and Greece, Border Police said. On the border with Greece, there is considerable truck traffic at exit on Kulata checkpoint. The same is the situation on the checkpoints of Kapitan Andreevo, Lesovo, Danube Bridge Ruse and Danube Bridge Vidin.
