A 5.1-magnitude earthquake hit the Saruhanlı district of the Aegean province of Manisa on May 27 at 6.53 p.m., the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) has announced.

The earthquake hit at a depth of 10 kilometers and there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, AFAD said.

Turkey's disaster agency AFAD and the Women and Democracy Association (KADEM) have accelerated a project for the social and economic integration of women and children refugees in Turkey.
